Our Little Cutie Pie

This week our primary goal was to get Jane back on some sort of schedule after our trip. She has gotten used to seeing lots of people and lots of action so we spent a lot of time on walks and watching the other kids in the complex play. We've been playing on a blanket outside in the afternoons too. Jane has been charming everyone with her smiles and giggles as she watches our neighbors come and go from their apartments. We went to the school one day and while we were waiting for Nathan to get out of class Jane made lots of new friends. :) She's such a happy girl all the time!
Over the weekend Jane and Nathan had lots of daddy-daughter bonding time. On Friday I had to take a certification class for work so they spent the morning together. Jane smiles at Nathan all the time and she laughs at all of his funny antics. She is well on her way to becoming a daddy's girl. Saturday night was our friend Megan's birthday and all of our friends were going to dinner in Hollywood to celebrate. Nathan was great and let me go out while he stayed home with Jane. When I got home she was sleeping and we were able to watch a movie together for the first time in a long time! Nathan said his philosophy is "play hard, sleep hard." :) I guess his philosophy paid off since she slept so well all night!

Jane has discovered that sucking on her fingers is a fun way to keep herself occupied. She also really likes laying on the floor in her room in the afternoon, watching the sunlight dance on the wall.



This past week we had a few days with temperatures in the 90s so we had to stay indoors. Jane and I had a pretend beach day inside instead!


On Saturday afternoon Nathan and I took Jane on a walk. She hates the stroller because she can't see anything so we have started taking her in the front pack so she can look around. We were walking and talking and realized that Jane had fallen asleep. She looked so funny in her hat and bib we had to take a picture.
