Auntie Em's Graduation!!

Last week we traveled to St. Louis for Auntie Em's High School graduation party! It was Jane's first trip to her Granddad & Gramma's house too.
We flew in late Friday night, after 3 hours on the runway for the plane to be fixed and 3 hours in the air! Jane actually did really well! We even watched part of a movie while she slept! Granddad & Great-Aunt Gale met us at the airport (she had just flown in also). When we arrived at the house we were met in the driveway by a Jane welcoming party. :) She got to meet both sets of Great-Grandparents on Nathan's side for the first time! That night we had a great dinner in the backyard by candlelight.
Saturday we spent the day preparing for Emily's graduation party! Jane even got in on the action, riding around in the baby bjorn, helping me set up cupcakes and fan napkins. The party was a nice celebration for Emily. We met lots of their neighbors and Jane met her Great-Uncle Doug, Great-Aunt Sue, Great-Uncle Tom and cousins Michael & Kelsey!
Sunday morning we had a yummy brunch before the family all headed home. After things had settled down we headed to the park with Granddad & Gramma. We had a great time watching Jane watch the kids on the playground. She loves seeing kids run around...she can't wait to join in!
Monday we took Jane on her first trip to the zoo. The St. Louis Zoo has free admission, so it was perfect for her first visit since we didn't stay long. Most of the big animals were not moving enough to capture Jane's attention, but she liked the fish and she LOVED the penguins! I'm posting a video of her reaction to her new favorite animal. She even convinced Granddad she needed a little penguin of her own. :) That night Granddad & Gramma babysat Jane while we went out for our anniversary! Four years! It was a nice treat for us to have dinner out and without a baby. :) Last year on our anniversary we saw our little jelly bean for the first time at my first ultrasound! Wow, our life has changed!
Tuesday there was a big storm so we mostly stayed inside. That night we tried to go to a concert in the park, but it was cancelled so we ended up having a picnic instead. Jane had a great time checking out the fountain at the park. It was nice visiting St. Louis in the summer (we've always gone in the winter) and getting to see it so green and pretty!
Wednesday we headed home and Jane had her best flight ever! It was so fun to see family & fun for Jane to meet everyone!

On the plane...for 6 hours! :)
