Happy Thanksgiving!
Henry had a big first week of life, starting off the holiday season. We were by ourselves after my parents left on Sunday afternoon until Tuesday when Granddad & Gramma arrived.
It has been a much different experience bringing Henry home than when we brought Jane home. We've had lots of visitors and he's met a lot of his family already! He is proving to be a sweet baby, sleeping most of the time except when he wants to eat. His first doctor's appointment was Tuesday afternoon and he was already back to birth weight at 4 days old. Everyone in the office said that was unheard of. I wasn't too surprised, he eats a lot. :) His mommy was happy because it spared me another trip to the doctor this week for a weight check.
Jane is becoming a great big sister. She loves covering Henry with blankets and playing with his fingers. She has had lots of extra attention from grandparents and I think that has helped her adjust to sharing Mommy & Daddy's time. We'll see how it goes now that everyone has gone home and Daddy goes back to work tomorrow.
We had a fun week, enjoy the pictures!
Henry, decked out to watch the Bronco game with Daddy. The outfit bit the dust right before kick-0ff...maybe that's why they lost. :)
Henry, snoozing while Mommy was getting ready for the day.
My friends Zak & Devon Klauck drove down from Greeley to meet Henry and visit with us. It was great to see them.
Jane wanted to make sure Devon was holding her brother the right way. :)

Granddad meeting Henry.

Nathan's Gramma Jo was in Colorado Springs for Thanksgiving too. She was spending the week with her step-daughter's family and we were invited to dinner at their house as well. It was a lot of fun and nice not to have to make dinner ourselves!

Jane was sharing her snack with Henry. :)
Aunt Emily flew in on Wednesday.

Emily was a big hit with Jane. They had lots of fun playing together.
Gramma let Jane help make pancakes!

Jane has become obsessed with watching "Pete's Dragon." (that's right, the old Disney movie) She makes us watch it at least once a day so we're all spending half the day singing "Brazzle Dazzle Day" and "Candle on the Water." :)
Jane was sharing her red blanket with Henry.

While everyone else was doing other things I got a chance to see what it will be like when I'm on my own with two kids! I think we did pretty well. Jane got lunch and Henry hung out with us at the kitchen table.

Jane got her Christmas present from Granddad & Gramma early. A kitchen!!

It didn't take her long to figure everything out.

Showing off her new flower hair-clip from Daddy.
Having a tea party with her friends. :)

What a sweet brother & sister!

Watching "Pete's Dragon"...again. :)

Opening some more Christmas presents from Gramma & Granddad.
Jane has really got the hang of opening presents in the last week. Everyone that came to see Henry brought something for Jane too. She is getting a little spoiled. :)

What a cute kitty towel! And a cupcake timer for her kitchen.

Saturday night we went to the Broadmoor for their Christmas tree lighting.

Jane had her first taste of hot chocolate - she's hooked!

Jane is getting good at saying "cheese" for pictures. :)

Jane was trying to keep warm on the drive home.

Aunt Emily got Jane some more food for her kitchen.

After everyone headed home we spent Sunday afternoon decorating our house for Christmas. Jane found her new Mickey Mouse Clubhouse ornament from Nana right away. She was also quick to point out that it is missing Daisy & Pluto. :)

Jane helped put the angel on the top of the tree. :)
