Beginning of fall
Fall is here and we have been trying to enjoy the last days of consistent nice weather. We had our first snow this past weekend so it is almost over. The kids love being outdoors no matter how cold it is so we get out as much as we can.
Jane is loving preschool and we had our first play date with some of her new classmates this week. The girls had a blast having a picnic and playing at the playground and it was good getting to know some of the moms too. She is learning lots of new things and she's very proud when she tells me something, "I learned at school." She sings a lot these days - her favorites are "Castle on a Cloud" (from Les Mis!) and a new one from preschool "The Lord is Good to Me." She also likes to study like Daddy so I bought her a preschool activity book. (Nathan is studying for his licensure exam in November).
Henry is quickly approaching his second birthday, as evidenced by his increasing interest in testing the limits. :) It is pretty hard to get upset when he flashes that adorable smile and says, "Sowwy Mama." He gets away with a lot more than Jane did at his age. He is talking more and more every day - it is fun to hear the new phrases he comes out with. I especially like it when you ask him a question and he says, "I don't know!" while shrugging his shoulders at you.
Enjoy the new pictures!

Picnic at Cozy Cow
The train museum in Greeley - pretty fun to sit in a real train caboose!
There was a prize if you found the 6 tiny dinosaurs hiding in the miniature world of trains. Jane took it very seriously.
Henry was a little tired at the train museum. :)
We had lunch at Oktoberfest in Lincoln Park and there were a lot of kid friendly activities too. They had a few bounce houses and...
...little bubbles so you could walk on water! Jane loved it and she actually got the hang of making it move after a while. It looked really fun, I kind of wish I had done it too!
My cousin Michael's birthday was at the end of September and he drove up to Greeley for a little impromptu party with us. Jane and Henry were excited for balloons and cake.
I'm pretty sure no one gets to blow out their own candles ever again.
My cousin Kelsey turned 21 the last weekend in September and a bunch of the cousins took her out for her birthday in downtown Denver. It was fun celebrating with her!
Riding the penny horse after grocery shopping. What a great bribe.
Playing at Sandborne Park while Jane is at school. Henry always gets stuck running errands so I usually try to throw in a half hour or so at the park.
Henry will eat anything as long as Papa is eating it too. Seriously, in the last month he has eaten things he previously (even one minute before when I tried to feed it to him!) turned his nose up at, told me "yuck" and spit out. Chili, meatloaf, corn on the cob...if Papa is eating it, it must be good.
Jane was riding her bike around with a blanket on her head and Henry thought that pink ghost needed a hug.
Watching his fav - Mickey Mouse.
Playing with a buckle - his favorite activity.
He also loves putting stickers on other people. This day he opted for his own legs.
Jane taking pictures of Henry when we were out for dinner with Aunt Emily.
Jane's pictures - not bad!
Last weekend was my sister's bachelorette party - hosted by me. These are the invitations I made - cute, right?
Cruising to dinner in the limo :)
Dancing the night away at the Grizzly Rose
Meanwhile, at home Henry's friend Owen turned 2 and Nathan took the kids to the party.
The big sisters tagged along with their siblings.
Playing football in the backyard
This was their "tower bed" that Jane made by pushing their chairs together. They thought it was great.
After a blue popsicle. Eww.
A sneak peek at Henry's Halloween costume. :)
