More Disney World
Another day in Hollywood Studios! Henry was excited to meet Stitch while everyone else waited in a line for the toy story ride.
Silly boys!
This was Jane's highlight of the day this day. She was very excited to meet Sofia.
Look who Jane ran into walking down the street? An old friend!
The first time she met Minnie...
The last time she saw Minnie :)
Enjoying the hot tub back at the house. There was a superman toy!
Getting ready to see Muppets 3D
Celebrating Papa's birthday with a cupcake!
Happy Birthday Dad!
All of the grown-ups (plus Pete) went out for a special birthday dinner - to the Ohana restaurant at the Polynesian resort. We stayed there when I was 17, the only other time I've been to Disney World. We loved the restaurant then so we thought it would be fun to go back.
Loved this picture of our family at The Animal Kingdom.
Having a snack while the adults took turns riding the Everest roller coaster.
Jane and I stood at the bottom watching and she asked me about 10 times if she was tall enough to ride it - "I REALLY want to ride that Mom!" She's our little daredevil!
This was something the kids had seen on a Disney World promotion video I showed them and they really wanted to go there. It's a huge sandbox where they have buried dinosaur bones the kids can uncover.
Watching the parade, Jane's been singing the song since we got home.
There were a crazy few people who decided to ride the river rapids in the 50 degree weather.
This night Papa and Nana babysat while the adult kids got to go back to Epcot for dinner.
This was the Moroccan restaurant we ate at...never again. :)
This morning Nathan and I decided to get up early and make it to opening ceremonies at the Magic Kingdom. The kids were really excited.
Mickey welcomed everyone to have a "magical day!"
The first stop of the morning was Belle's Tales. It was a really fun interactive story time with Belle - Jane got to play the feather duster.
The Jungle Cruise - another one of Jane's favorites from when we lived in California.
Checking out the animals :)
Getting ready to pass through the magic pixie dust portal to meet Tinkerbell!!
Tinkerbell was very impressed with Jane's Belle dress and wanted to know who made it. Jane told her that Nana did and Tinkerbell said, "Your Nana has some great tinker talent!" Jane thought that was funny.
Periwinkle was there too!
Riding the Tomorrowland Speedway - one of the kids' favorites since they got to drive.
Henry always had to drive a red car.
Taking a break back at the house - swimming in the pool.
This was a late night for us, we went to see Fantasmic. It's a big light show on the water all about Mickey's dream.
Kevin bought the kids light up ears. :) They loved them.
One morning Shaina and I decided that we would take Jane to meet Elsa and Anna. We had attempted a couple other mornings but realized that in order to avoid waiting for 4-5 hours we would have to get there right when Epcot opened. We still had to get there about an hour before and then Shaina ran to the front of the line. Aunt of the year!! :)
Waiting outside in Norway.
Anna told Jane, "We could be sisters" because she was dressed up like Elsa. Jane has told everyone that story since. I think this was probably her favorite moment of the trip.
Since Frozen is all about two sisters and we waited to meet them Shaina and I figured we needed a picture with them too!
Still excited, riding the monorail to the Magic Kingdom to meet up with everyone else.
Riding the rockets with Daddy!
Buzz lightyear with Uncle Matt
Another beach day, this time on the Atlantic side. It was SO peaceful and relaxing. I love taking our kids to the beach.
Look at all of those seashells she collected!
They obviously loved having a heated outside pool to play in while we were there. Jane really liked that she was tall enough to touch in most of it.
Little man's first time in the pool - he loved it too.
Another kid-free night thanks to Papa and Nana.
Riding the Rockin' Roller Coaster a few times...
I don't think Pete missed me too much - spoiled by his Nana!
This was our last day in Disney - finally getting a picture in front of Cinderella's Castle.
Cinderella's glass slipper!
Rapunzel was by far the nicest princess Jane and Henry met. She talked with both of them for a long time. She told Jane they could be twins, another story Jane had to share with everyone.
Rapunzel thought Henry must be a ruffian but he informed her he was Peter Pan.
Watching his big sister and brother drive cars again at the Tomorrowland Speedway.
Red again!
Talking to Push - the talking trash can in Tomorrowland.
Riding Space Mountain
Papa really wanted to take Henry to Tom Sawyer's Island so we headed over there on our last afternoon.
Someone didn't make it to check out the island.
Henry loved exploring.
Meeting the big guy! Mickey was a talking Mickey - it was kind of weird but also fun!
Mickey liked Peter - he didn't want to let us leave!
Henry and Jane got to learn how to be pirates at Captain Jack's Pirate Tutorial.
We loved our vacation!! Thank you Papa and Nana!
Bye bye Disney World!
