Jane is 16 months!
Jane turned 16 months this past week. She is talking a lot more in the last month, with probably around 25 words that she uses consistently. She can point to all of her major body parts if you ask her with the favorites being "head" and "knees" because she loves the song "Head, shoulders, knees & toes." She also likes to point to her eyes and our eyes and say "eye" while she is jabbing her finger in your eye. We are working on the concept of gentle. :)
She is still a really picky eater - her five standbys are: grilled cheese, cheese quesadillas, macaroni & cheese, peanut butter & jelly and pizza. (notice that with 4 out of the 5 cheese is the main ingredient) She loves fruit too, but we have to force feed the veggies.
We've instituted time-outs in the play-pen for major offenses, which our little mover HATES. It is very effective since she doesn't like being forced to remain in the same place for very long.
We are really enjoying Jane at this stage, she is so interactive and fun to be around. She really is a sweet girl and she loves people. We can't go anywhere without Jane making a new friend. Last night at dinner out she had a guy at the next table playing peek-a-boo with her. :) She is starting to really interact with kids her own age now too. She follows her friend MaryMayes (who she calls MayMay) around like a lost puppy whenever they are together.
My favorite new thing is that this week Jane started blowing us a kiss from her crib before we leave her room at bedtime. :) It melts our hearts! Okay, now for some fun pictures from the week!
Jane made me ride Small World twice when we went to Disney on Tuesday - just because she wanted to see the hippo again. Bet you didn't even know there was a hippo on the ride, huh?

Jane is not going to know what to do without all your friends around anymore- and she will miss Disney for sure... good thing there are hippos at both Zoos in Colorado!
