Big Weekend!

This past weekend was a time for celebration! Sunday was Nathan's birthday AND Father's day! Nathan is a such a wonderful husband and an amazing daddy so Jane & I wanted to plan a fun-filled weekend to show him how much we appreciate him. :)

On Saturday night Nathan & I had a night out. We went out for dinner and played miniature golf, just the two of us. On Sunday we celebrated as a family. We went for a hike in Moro Canyon, a picnic, and then to the beach. For dinner we met up with some friends for another picnic in the park and ice cream cake.

The hike started out okay...

...but Jane is in a very determined "mommy" stage. She decided halfway through the hike that unless Mommy carried her she was going to scream in Daddy's ear the whole way.

Jane liked the beach portion of the day much better, and we did too. :) If Jane's not happy, no one is happy.

A daddy's work is never done. Nathan was building sandcastles and chasing our little munchkin all afternoon.

When we take Jane to the beach we usually change her in the trunk of the car. She thinks this is pretty funny.

Jane was so tired after the beach that she fell asleep on the way home. (Don't worry, not in the trunk!)
