Disney World 2015

We surprised the kids with another trip to Disney World this year. Since our annual passes from last year were still good until the middle of January, we went for another week! Thanks to Papa's frequent trips to Maine we were able to fly on his points and we found a great condo to rent close to the parks. I think it was just as fun to take them this year as last! Another year older and they were interested in doing different things. Pete really enjoyed it too which was a fun change. :) It'll probably be a while before we go again so we made the most of it!

In the car bright and early, headed for the airport!

Henry was tired by the time Nana and Papa picked us up from the airport in Orlando. :) They flew out a few days ahead of us for a little grown up fun.

Headed to the Magic Kingdom!

Our first ride on the new Seven Dwarves Mine Train that was under construction last year!

Part of the fun in getting there so soon after Christmas was that they still had all of their Christmas festivities going on. This was right after Elsa came out and covered the castle with "ice" for the night.

Meeting Mary Poppins…I couldn't convince her to come be my nanny!

Pete's first ride on the Jungle Cruise!

Another exciting first! Last year, Splash Mountain was closed for refurbishment while we were there. It was open the first two days of our trip this time so the kids rode it 4 times.

That meant it was time for Pete's nap.  :)

Riding on the riverboat.

A day at the beach! So fun if it wasn't so cold!!

One of the fun surprises we had for the kids was a night out with Captain Hook. We celebrated Henry's birthday (a few months late) by taking them on the Pirate Fireworks Cruise.

Notice that we had Captain Hook, Wendy and Peter Pan all accounted for. :)

Watching the fireworks from a boat outside the Magic Kingdom was a lot of fun and a new experience for everyone!

Peter Pan met us after the cruise! Henry did not want to meet him because he is "the enemy."

Nathan really got into his shooting on Buzz Lightyear. lol

This ride aged me a few years…Jane was barely tall enough for Space Mountain but I did not like how she was in front of me in the pitch black! I had to keep putting my hands out on her shoulders to make sure she hadn't flown out of her seat.

Hanging at the condo pool on one of the nicer weather days.

Henry was tall enough for Tower of Terror this year…

…this was his reaction.

Definitely not fans!

We love Midway Mania though!!

Watching Disney Junior, Pete loved it!

Star Tours!

Pete's favorite stop this day - Honey I Shrunk the Kids. He went down this leaf slide 20 times.

Animal Kingdom! I love this tree!

Kilimanjaro Safari was a little chilly.

Jane loved Animal Kingdom, especially the animal encounters.

Everest Expedition for the first time!

And the second…

Crazy girl! We are raising a roller coaster lover!

Digging for dinosaur bones

Henry told me the Dinosaur ride was "not scary." Then he told me all of the dinosaurs were real…I think he was trying to trick me.

Waiting for opening ceremonies our last MK day.

Notice Jane's hands are always up on any roller coaster… :)

Time for a snack on Tom Sawyer's Island. I love these munchkins!!

Our last full day in Florida was also the day before Jane's birthday so we let her choose what we did. (some of us were rooting for the beach) She picked her favorite, Animal Kingdom!

Most of the day Jane spent filling out her Wilderness Explorer book. They have lots of stations all over the park where kids can earn badges for learning about animals, other cultures and conservation. Here she is learning that flamingos are pink because of the shrimp they eat!

Our last night Henry really wanted to sit in the hot tub with Daddy so Mommy and Jane headed over to Epcot on our own. We went to watch Illuminations, the light show over the water.

All ready for the show with our hot chocolate and popcorn!

Wow!

Our last surprise for the kids right before we headed to the airport was a breakfast with Cinderella and the other princesses! Happy Birthday to my sweet little 6 year old! It breaks my heart a little that she is so grown up!

One of my favorites from Jane's 1st Birthday breakfast with Minnie Mouse at Disneyland! Jane has become such an amazing little girl since this day!

Princess Jasmine was telling Jane she should've left her monkey (aka Pete) at home. LOL!

Bye Disney World!!
