Happy New Year!
Well, here we are in 2010 and one week away from Jane's first birthday! It seems like the past year has gone by in a flash. To help us celebrate the new year, Jane's Granddad & Gramma came to visit! It was a fun time all together, playing, eating and enjoying each-other's company.
New Year's Eve we met Gramma & Granddad at their hotel in Redondo Beach for dinner.
Janey loved the Christmas Tree in the lobby of the hotel.
Jane thought it was her job to take down the decorations so Granddad was busy putting them back up. :)
Jane was giving her grandparents lots of exercise before dinner, running around outside.

On the first we went to Pasadena to check out the Rose Bowl Parade floats. The floats are amazing, made entirely of flowers and natural materials. (seeds, plants..)

This was my favorite float. It was a jungle theme and there were huge gorillas all over it.
Nathan was entertaining all the kids in our stairwell. :)
Jane got one of her birthday presents early, from Granddad & Gramma...
...a huge PANDA! :)
She picked it out at Rainforest Cafe when we were there having lunch.

So cute! Jane is more than welcome to come and help me take down my Christmas decorations! I love the floats too- dogs sledding? I think Pepper would shoot me!
The float with the gorillas won the biggest prize ... I was wondering if you got to see it. I am jealous! The dog sledding was just silly. We can't wait to celebrate the big birthday with Jane! See you all soon.
Love the pictures of her looking at the floats in awe! And love the picture of her propped up against the panda, she looks so grown up in that little pose! Hilarious! Happy New Year Swishers!!! (btw, it looks so weird to see people in short sleeves and without huge scarves and coats, guess I've gotten used to this cold weather really quickly!)
